Organizations transform when their people do.

We create successful transformations by placing a deep focus on shifting the mindsets and behaviors of a critical mass of individuals to embrace organizational challenges as growth opportunities.

Human and technical elements together create high performance.

We combine operational excellence practices (such as lean management and process improvement) with organizational development approaches (such as culture transformation and personal transformation) to create an environment where problem solving is nurtured and translates into high performance.

Fear is the largest source of waste in organizations.

We are facilitators of disruption. The disruption we create is in people’s relationship to fear – enabling them to move from indecision and resistance to action and learning. This is at the core of effective leadership and cultures that embody continuous improvement.

Ownership for transformation must live within the organization.

We see our role as enablers rather than enforcers. We create the context where people get energized about participating in creating a higher performing future state and we provide structures that allow for the realization of that future state.

Success for us is working our way out of a job.

Our primary intention in all our work is to build our client’s internal capabilities so that they can sustain and deepen the transformation long after we are gone. We empower them in multiple areas such as leadership, lean management, change management and facilitation.

We believe that people are the intrinsic foundation of every business – and that their potential is unlimited.

To transform potential into results, you need to enable people to do the right work in the right way.

What is transformation?

To understand transformation we can look to the process of metamorphosis, such as a caterpillar’s transformation into a butterfly. It’s inherent in the DNA of the caterpillar to develop into its full potential. There is a complete shift in how it views and flourishes in the world in its new form and it can never go back to being a caterpillar. What makes transformation fundamentally different from change are three distinct characteristics: transformation emerges from a source deep within; transformation is a complete shift in world view, and; with transformation there is no returning to the prior state.

For human beings, transformation is an essential shift in the underlying limiting mindsets from which emerges our image of ourselves, others and our various life situations. Once we have a new awareness, there can be no returning to the previous perspective of our life; we simply can’t go back to thinking and responding in the same way. Unlocking human potential to access and sustain significantly higher levels of business performance requires this transformation.

Why is transformation the key to business performance?

Organizations that are able to create a high-passion performance culture that is deeply aligned with the business strategy and operational priorities tend to outperform their industry by an average 7 percentage points on annual shareholder returns over a ten-year period and deliver 2.4% higher ROIC*.

For us, transformation is not just a “feel good” activity to keep employees happy, but rather a core tool to drive sustainable business performance. In a high-passion, peak-performance culture, ordinary people routinely do extraordinary things.
